To be able to do drive times at home, your parents/teen must first order the Parent Taught Driver’s Education Guide from the state. ALL DPS wants is you to follow these 4 steps. You do not need to fill out any login sheets or record times.

The form you must fill out is titled “Parent Taught Request Form.” There is a fee. Make sure you choose to have the packet sent to you by email. If you choose to have the packet mailed to you, it could take up to 2 weeks to receive. This packet might be asked from you when you go to the DPS.
Once you get this certificate the certificate that is in your account ( You will print off from your acct when you are login to your account), then you can go take to the DPS for your test. The test can be done at the DPS or at a 3rd party test facility. You will not need your logs at the 3rdparty facility, just fill the certificate like we tell you in the video in your acct and you take your TDLR guide, plus you certificate from your other school or online school that title driver license only on the 964.
Make sure you are 16 years old and you have held your permit for at least 6 months. This six-month date is written on the back of your permit.
